Sibling Preparation Class

Activities, discussions and practice are used in this session to teach children aged 2 1/2 to 6 years about their new role as siblings. Your child will learn about such topics as:

• The emotions associated with becoming a big sister or brother
• Newborn appearance and behavior 
• Special rules about new babies

He or she will also practice holding, dressing, diapering the baby. An age-appropriate tour of our Birth Place is included so your child may become comfortable with the hospital and visiting routines. This class does not prepare children to participate in the birth. Parents are required to attend.
